1 lbs 95% lean beef

2 tsp minced garlic

3/4 cup diced zucchini

1/4 large yellow onion, diced

1/2 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp dried basil

1/2 TBS olive oil

1/2 cup tomato sauce

2 TBS tomato paste

1/2 cup 33% less sodium chicken broth



  • Start by heating olive oil in large skillet on high to medium-high.

  • Place zucchini, minced garlic and onion in the pan and cook until onion is caramelized. 

  • Add ground beef and cook until lightly brown. 

  • Once beef is done cooking, add basil, garlic powder, tomato sauce/paste and chicken broth. 

  • Stir well on medium high and then reduce heat to low. Cover and allow to simmer for 5-10 minutes.
